Two new additions...almost.

Post by Arctic Assassian »

So I've got a lot of cars. Literally, a "lot" of em. I've got my 93 FWD impreza that was my first car and I blew the front diff out in. Then I bought my Rio red 91 SS. It's a real SS its a 5-speed. It cost 500 bucks, because the turbo was blown and they thought it was headgaskets. Then I bought a 91 turbo auto, winestone red.(Yes, it is. I ran the VIN) From this old lady that bought it new and had all service records including every gas fill up documented. The tranny was going out. 500 bucks. I wrecked it. Now it sits.

Last week I bought an 89 toyota hilux. It's the 89-94 rounded bodystyle. Canopy, 4x4, 5speed.......V6  1000 bucks, dude was deploying. Now today, I'm about to buy this bad boy.

Now I'll see if I can get it for 500 bucks. :P

I know 2 subaru daves. Both work outta eagle river. Dave Milller is one. I met the other, younger dave (who called himself subaru dave), just a few days ago at my parts counter.
I did pick up that silver 92 and it runs like a TOP! I'm gonna do a full reseal and put a td04 and TMIC on it. The interior is CHERRY! and I have ALL service records back all the way to the original purchase invoice from continental subaru. I got it for 700 bucks with an extra set of tires and rims.

Yeah I knew 2 subaru daves. only met one. I didnt meet Dave Miller in Eagle River cause when i called him to look at a car I didnt really care for his attitude at all.

The other "subaru dave" lived in anchorage and I bought a couple cars from him. 7 years ago, when I left AK, he was getting rid of all his subaru stuff and getting into Toyota's... so he's probably known as Toyota Dave now.

What did you end up paying for that silver SS?

I paid 700. :) Subaru dave is still subaru dave, but he does do yotas too. Dave miller is WAY rough around the edges, but he's a great guy. We are putting together a business plan for the first "Green" shop in alaska. I want to recycle everything.
