Anybody know what this is?

Post by monty's legacy »

So I popped my hood this afternoon to check my oil (have had a small leak for a bit nothing serious though) and I see this what appears to be some sort of a gasket lying between the drivers side fuel injectors.

It is approximately 2" across by 1/4" wide by 1/8" thick

After I found it I checked for any new fluid leaks and looked around and couldn't find anything remotely like it. I started the car and let it idle, nothing wrong there. Drove it home, more gingerly than normal but again no issues. Anybody have any clue as to what it is? I got to my mechanics a few minutes after he closed. Thanks again guys.

That is the gasket that goes underneath the oil cap, if you turn your oil cap over you will notice a channel that looks very empty :-)
