sorry if this seems a silly question but trying to work out how the
waistgate opperates . i can see the pressure is taken off the turbo
outlet goes through the waistgate solenoid then to the waistgate ,
dose this pressure HOLD the waistgate closed until a certain pressure
when the solenoid bleeds and the waistgate opens ,,,, or is it closed
by defult and the pressure opens it at a certain pressure , or is it
none of the above , or am i talking crap
o and re slow legacy wats a pcv valve n a afm ?

Rob, there are no silly questions, but I suggest you
search thru the archives, these things have been
discussed quite a lot.

To keep it short, the wastegate is closed by default
and opened when pressure is applied.

PCV, check for example msgs #3127 and #3795

AFM, Airflow Meter, the square-shaped gadget that's
attached to the airfilter-box, check the pic.
