200 hp Mercury Outboard V-6 2-stroke

Post by what huh »

This is a 200hp Mercury Outboard V-6 2-stroke. I took this motor off my boat thinking it was time to upgrade. I got my boat w/ the new motor back from the Mercury dealer, and they told me that the motor has a lot of years left . . . it just so happened that my fuel lines on my gas tank were to restrictive. They also told me that the compression is a little low on one of the cylinders. Its a great motor for someonejust getting into boating, thats on a budget. And i would get it tuned up by a dealer, but thats why it has a awesome price So its up for sale. And the all the lines, oil tank, throttle w/ lines, battery cables, stainless steel prop($400 value) the only thing you need is a gas tank. $2900 obo

The lower unit could use some superficial reconditioning, but it looks like you kept up with the zincs. Not bad.

this motor was left in the water for the last couple days it was on the boat but the lower unit is only 1 year old. it got a lot of barnicles on it those few days, well i guess it was about a week.

And the zincs were replaced way before they ran out.

You can tell - it's not eaten away. A little wire brush and some paint and it would almost look new. Not sure how many boat people are on here, but I hope you sell it.
