Burning smell with new clutch

I recently installed a heavy duty (+25%) organic Daikin brand clutch
in my 94 liberty RS Turbo. after 1500kms, i am still getting a
burning smell when slipping the clutch up a steep driveway, or in
reverse, it is quite obvious. Subaru had a look, could get the
symptom to occur, but couldnt see anything wrong. any ideas? flywheel
was fine, and wasnt machined when changed over, and the clutch is
hydraulicaly actuated.
