Whats Rarer an SVX or a first gen. Legacy Turbo

Post by 94TurboWagon »

Does anyone know how many first Gen. Legacy Turbos were built. Being an owner of both an SVX and a first Gen. Legacy Turbo I can say that they are both rare and fun cars to drive. I know that 25,000 SVX were built and 14,000 came to the US. Does anyone know the total of the first Gen Legacy turbos made and how many were imported to the US.

Thanks!

96 SVX Lsi (Brilliant Red) 106k miles :-D

The 360 is common as dirt to a Star/FF1:

I want an FF1 coupe with the 'Cuda stripes and at least an EA81 (the early engines were terrible on head gaskets).

I'm already getting fuzzy on my Gen1 knowledge, but I think the 1100s were fine. The 1300 and 1400 sleeved engines were the bad headgasket-blowers.

I'd probably do an EA71. That's the first Subaru engine I've gotten really elbow-deep into, so I have a bit of a connection to it.

Oh, and I would want this exact one:

Maybe my knowledge is fuzzy - I think I'm thinking of the successor car. I have an old brochure somewhere that shows it with something similar to the AAR 'Cuda stripes. Looks funny and cool at the same time.
