FOLLOWING ALL MY POSTS ON SLOW LEGACY , ERATIC BOOST ECT
TODAY I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM (THINK IVE BROUGHT A LEMON)
CHANGED THE OIL TODAY WITH CASTROL RS 10/60, READ LOT OF BITS ABOUT
IS SUPPOSE TO BE GOOD AND I DRIVE THE CAR QUITE HARD .
NOW THE TAPPETS RATTLE LIKE F... . THEY DID BEFOR BUT ONLY EVERY NOW
AND THEN , NOW ABOUT 2 OF THEM RATTLE IN CYCLES ,THEY RATTLE FOR
ABOUT 30 SECS THEN STOP FOR 30 SECS AND SO ON ,,, REALY ANNOYING
THE CARS GOT A FULL MAIN DEALER HISTORY AND NEVER MISSED A SERVICE
ITS DONE 105 K , IVE ONLY HAD IT 6 WEEKS AND ITS FALLING TO BITS ON
ME LUV IT Grrrrrr .?????? , never had these problems with my ae86

ANOTHER PROBLEM / OIL
You need to change it back to the standard weight oil. I'm assuming
when you say 10/60, you mean 10w-60. That's way to thick. You're most
likely not getting oil flowing to the lifters, and that's where your
tapping is coming from. If the engine calls for the same specs as US
versions for oil. I would run 10w-30 or 10w-40. Follow the owners
manual for oil weights. I would suggest getting some engine flush and
run it through then change the oil, and put the proper viscosity in.

ANOTHER PROBLEM / OIL
i had a different experience had the tapping lifter problem on and of since
i had the car, only used castrol magnex as recommened by subaru UK, change
oil and flush and noise goes away and the comes back when oil gets dirty.
Changed to Mobile one motorsport and the engine is quite and tapping noise
dose not come back 10-50 i think

CONFUSED NOW READ LOTS ON USING RS 10 W 60 SUPPOSE TO BE THE DOGS
PARTS ALSO MOTUL 15/50 N MOBILE 1 10 /50 OPPOSED TO THINNER OILS IE
5/30 ,,10 /30 ECT. SUPPOSE ITS DOWN TO PERSONEL TASTE AND
EXPERIENCE , IM GONNA DRAIN ALL £40 WORTH AND CREOSOTE THE SHED WITH
IT , THEN TRY SOMETHINK ELSE A BIT THINNER I THINK
