Did anyone try 225/50 on stock 15" rims?

Need a tire for DD/local street tire index autox class. Gonna stay stock, and seems like my only decent options for 15" are 195/50 RE01R, 205/50 rt615 and 225/50 RS2. The latter seems very attractive for a heavy BC.

Found only one reference in old threads, so I wonder if anyone else tried 225/50?

I'm on 225/50-16s. Slightly taller than stock.

You need wider wheels to use a tire that wide though. Using a 225 on a 6" rim is going to get you worse traction than something that fits right.

Nope, 225/50 are approved on 6" rim. Traction wise I'd love smth like 215/50 but there are none.
I'm sure turn-in will suck, but mid-turn should be much better.
