I just picked up a set of Michelin ZEL80 Rally tires and have been trying unsuccessfully for the last hour to find any info on which way to mount them on the rim. more specifically, which side goes to the outside of the car.
Any help in finding this info would be greatly appreciated and any links would be better.
TIA,
Dave

Hey... I asked RenMaxi about this and here's what he said:
The way the tires appear in this picture:
... are how they should look on the car if you're looking at it from the front.
In other words, the tire on the left should be on the right side of your car, and the tire on the right should be on the left side of your car.
The straight line of tread blocks should be on the inside of the tire, and the tread should tilt up like that... pointing in the opposite direction of rotation.
Hope that helps.

Perhaps the performance of the tire varies depending on how its mounted?
i.e. better mounted one direction for dirt, another for wet pavement, upside-down for snow, and backward for sand/ loose surfaces?
