Dash Lights gone AWOL

Post by frameline »

Hi,

Just a quick one, I have lost the lights on my speedo and rev counter + fuel and temp, any one know how I can replace the bulbs etc...I have a 95 TX-S, the auto shifter lights are still working..

Cheers

If they all have gone out at once, chances are there's a connection or the illumination controller might be bad.

Do you have any other dash lights that work?

Yes, I have lost the speedo, rev counter, fuel and temp. The shift lights (that tell you what gear you are in) all still work and all the warning lights, indicators etc all work, it is just the dials that I cannot see.

Any clues???

I'd still suspect a bad connection/short. Either way, you'll probably have to pull the cluster out to do some testing.

you have the illumination control turned all the way to the *bright* setting?

if it's not that then check and make sure all of the wires underneath your seat are connected. this happened to me once also

If the dimmer switch gets really dirty, crappy, etc... you could go all dim. Spin that sucker lo to high quickly a couple times. It really sounds like a bad connection somewhere though. Have you checked the fuse?
