Looking for broken MAP Sensor & Wastegate solenoid

Post by Legacy777 »

I need the wiring & connector from the MAP sensor, and I need the bracket that clamps onto the wastegate solenoid.

So if anyone has any extra sensors that may be dead I'm looking for those particular items from them.

Thanks
Josh

do you mean wiring to the sensor, or the plug that is on the sensor?
Kickin' it old-school.

Well....I'm still not 100% sure if I'll be able to do what I want. I'd like the connector and a little bit of wire that goes to the sensor so I could splice it into another sensor.

I'd also be willing to buy working sensors too. If anyone has either, preferably the wastegate solenoid, let me know.

Thanks

Josh, mid next week I should have access to my newly purchased parts car. I'm not sure what your time frame is - suspect you're playing with things for the EM you're looking at.

However, if you can wait I'd be happy to hook you up with what I can.

Thanks Lee.

Josh,

I got the car :) and tomorrow I will be spending the day stripping it out.

What all do you need? I'm still familarizing myself with some of the turbo specific sensors so any pictures you can provide would be helpful.

And you need the sensor and the connectors with a bit of wire for splicing?

I need the wastegate solenoid & MAP sensor

In this pic

The waste gate solenoid is below the brown pressure exchange solenoid. The map sensor is the upside down mounted black sensor to the left of the wastegate solenoid.

Josh,

Thanks. When stripping everything I pretty much pieced together which was the wastegate solenoid - only thing connected to the wastgate...

Right now I have that whole assembly pulled out and at my apt. along with 5-6 inches of wiring. At this point in time I think it's probably best if we moved this to email - lskidmor@vt.edu.

Let me know how you want to go from here. You've helped me out in the past and I'd like to return the favor, but shipping cost coverage would be nice.
