ran with an S6 (V10)

Post by farfrumwork »

So I just had some fun with an S6...

Here's some detail on the S6 ('cause I didn't know until just now myself)

$75,000
5.2L V10
6spd auto
7,000rpm redline
420-435hp ('06 - '07)
398ftlb
4486lbs
0-60 ~4.8s
1320 ~13.3s

So anyway, he wanted to play. I was chasing him out of 1 intersection, then we were in traffic for a while (2 lane "country" roads). Then we finally get to a left hand turn to a 4lane divided road - he's still in front.

Open road. we're on it from a slow roll - punched it mid turn.
1st gear = even
2nd gear = I actually inch up a bit (right on his tail from the punch)
3rd gear = he pulls 1 car
4th gear = he started pulling more, maybe another 2 cars, then we shut down around 90 (I know this is where he would just keep putting busses on me if we kept going >100)

I would give anything to have been a fly in his $75k car when he was not pulling away imediately... I'm sure he though he could just brush me off within a gear or 2. :D

I really like this car!

Ahahahaha awesome!!

Yeah my friend's dad had an older M3 (the non-turbo). He thought that since he spent over $50K on his car, it somehow meant his was faster....?

But anyways I saw him driving one day, pulled up next to him and just smoked him. Like a chimney. Hahaha. Needless to say, he was a little dumbfounded.
