I think if you take the insulation off from underneath the hood, you can get to some fasteners to remove the scoop from the top of the hood. Those same fasteners might also hold the turbo ducting to the underside of the hood. I think you can keep the turbo ducting and still have an intercooler. The expert on custom scoops is Bill Robinson (vultureboy@mindspring.com). Bill has an intercooler and custom scoop he fabricated himself. I think he still has the turbo ducting. I've also spoken with another person with an intercooler that said the ducting didn't interfere.
