SOHC head interchangability

I have a head gasket leak on my N/A 2.2 and have a spare 1.8 engine sat idle, instead of waiting to get my 2.2 heads back from being skimmed can i fit the 1.8 heads to my 2.2 bottom end?
I figure they should just be a direct swap but are there differences between the heads? for example valve sizes ect?

Yes I believe there are some differences. I belive the valves are smaller on the 1.8, plus there may be some differences in the intake port alignment.
