Post by oli1983uk »

Hi,

My brother is a interested in buying a SUBARU LEGACY GT TWIN TURBO, it has 66,000 miles on clock. I am just wondered what he would need to look out for when going to view the car. is there any normal problems that come up with these cars and also any usual problems he will need to keep an eye out for?

Thanks for any help.

Check the oils. Im guessing the car is Manual? Do some tight turns see if it has torque bind and check all fluids. Look for odd colours or burnt smells and low fluid levels.

hmm $3500 roughly. What year? Sound cheap. Get it to a subie man for a detailed looking around.

66k is pretty low for a 94. If its the top of the range model then go for it.

Get under the car and look at everything and make sure it's not leaking anything. Valve covers not such a big issue. Its a boxer weak point. Take it for an extended drive and check again.
