Yeah...Not even close.

The TD04 is made by Mitsubishi...the RHB5 series is made by IHI...

The VF11 is an RHB5 turbo, as is the VF10, VF8, VF12...

Depending on which RHB5 turbo it is...it could be a great upgrade

The TD04 is not much bigger than a VF11 but it can hold 15psi of boost.
I think the VF11 will taper off after about 12psi (I did not try to run much boost on the VF11 so don't KNOW the exact taper level).

One more thing about the little TD04 -

I got a 14.594 1/4 mile time @ 14psi on this turbo, but if you look @ my 96.41 MPH trap speed you'll see it is slightly higher than it should be for the time (I think Livestrong's car had a 96.3 MPH trap on a 14.2 ET which is very good!!!).
My POOR Time was due to a conservative launch - 2.4 second 60' time - I'm not gonna break my car 60miles from home!

Car with me in it was 3340lbs.....

I'm not sure what the VF11 is capable of 1/4 mile ET wise, but someone ran a 14.99 on a VF11@15psi (? taper) with a stripped interior/intake/FMIC.

Not a bad upgrade for the price/easy of access in my opinion, & the response is SUPER-Quick.

Do you know which IHI turbo is for sale?

I felt the VF11 had "0" lag while the TD04 had a tiny bit of lag, but I had these turbos on 2 different motors (VF11 on ej22t, TD04 on EG20G) with the same mods (K&N, C-cup, Walbro, FMIC, 3"TBE, Diamond coil).

When I installed my td04 I noticed a quicker spool vrs. the Vf11. I dyno'ed at around 187 hp and around 200 ft lbs with a major exhaust leak before the up pipe. I'm not sure what I'm making right now to the wheel but I would be willing to say around 200 wheel hp. I ran a 15.80 at a local track last season, but with 230k on the clock I blew the pass side head gasket when my waste gate line fell off= 20 pounds of boost and I had to let off the last 1/8 of a mile. The Td04 has a higher efficiency rating as to the vf11 which has a lower efficiency, due to a better bearing design.
