To vent or not to vent?!

That is the question! :)

The outer part will be body color and the inner mesh will be black, like the grill.

I say add a 02/03 WRX scoop, then go for it. :-D

If you can find something sweet to put under them to make them functional, you'd have a sweet deal! They look sick, regardless.

Why would he want a drag-causing hood scoop with a FMIC? I'd put the vents where the natural heat spots on the hood are - you can see them any time there's moisture that develops on the car overnight.

Yeah... maybe at right about the half way point between hoodscoop and headlights... but along that crease on the hood.

Yeah, I moved them up a bit after taking pictures. They will be just ahead of the intake and directly above the valve covers to relieve as much heat as possible.

Um, a little over kill for Devan since he's running a FMIC. Of course I have one for my car, but I have a purposeful reason for mine...

The vents aren't in the right place.

Wait for a cold night when the car is covered in dew. Then drive for 10 minutes and park the car again. Look at the two dry spots on the hood and you will see they are the exact same shape as the vents :)

It was kind of a light bulb moment for me. I always wondered why subaru had these goofy looking parallelogram vents randomly placed on the hood. One morning I had to get something from the grocery store which wasn't far away. When I returned to my car was still completely covered with dew EXCEPT two spots on the hood that were in the same place that hood vents should go! I stood there for a moment with a shopping bag and said "ohhhhhh" out loud. hehe

My vote is to get a regular non scoop hood and vent it. Heat wrap the headers and up pipe and buy a blanket for the turbo.

I'm used to people tuning me out in real life. I usually just leave cynical misanthropic comments anyways.
