They should look great.

They will fit.

If they're a great price, get 'em. If they don't work for you, sell 'em. Profit!

The earlier ones were lighter than the contemporary WRX wheels. Don't know if that would still stand, but it's a thought.

yeah, the guy weighed 'em and said 20 lbs each.... not light

i think $425 for wheels that have 50 miles on them is reasonable, but I would never expect to flip them for profit

there is such little supply in my region, I have very few choices and I am very impatient

if I buy these I will probably paint them which is sad b/c they are spank, but fun b/c who cares

yes, bronze has long been on my mind and my grill is already bronze so i plan to match it

these wheels could be fun though, I am thinking of adding another color to the "sipe" line through the spokes

maybe black

I saw those on that "other" forum, and immediately thought you should get them. Its weird that you posted it here. Weird as in coincidence.

some people are more thorough than others but the first two pages of this link have a few descriptions of what to do. sounds like everyone primes and one way or another the wheels should be ruffed up a bit first.

I am thinking a scrub down in the bath tub with steel wool. but first I will take them to the car wash and degrease+high pressure them...

In regards to the wheels, definitely sand then first. I would just wet sand with 400grit. If you don't sand through the clear you shouldn't have to prime.

I will call you tomorrow for sure. Thats the day you said you have off right??

they are little weights that range in mass (a really big one is 3 ounces) that must be attached to the inside and outside of wheels in random/varying degrees and placements to make the wheel balanced

ordinary ones simply clip onto the edge of the rim but you can get sticky ones to stick inside the lip so that your wheel face doesn't have a weight showing

here is a wheel weight that has been painted over. if he remounts the wheel they will probably have to rebalance them and then he will have a silver spot underneath there

That guy's tire shop sucks - that wheel should be balanced with stickies on the inside, but I guess he doesn't care much about doing what's right since he's painting over the weight. Any time you change a tire, you need to rebalance the wheels.

Les Schwab put my weights on the outside. But my stockers look pretty trashy, so I don't blame them. Maybe next time I'll ask for stickies.

^^^^
probably, if you aren't changing the tires...... even though it goes against standard thinking of what is right

unless you are heavy on the paint on one side ;)

I think there is a specila tool to pull off weights but you might be able to get it by pulling at the crease with a flathead

A pair of vise grips can get them off, just be careful with the alloy. Don't know if you'll get it back on - they're not designed for reuse. The special tool is a hooked plier. They may sell them at Pep Boys or something. Lazy techs will use the clip on weights if there's a lip and they're not specifically told to use the stickies because they're much easier - you just hammer it on, while the stickies require the cleaning of lots of brake dust and making sure they stick.
