Was there a Lego GT Limited made in 91?
Leather interior, etc.
No idea on engine size yet, and the pics dont show whether it says 2.5 on the back or not.

GT Limited (leather interior & gold accent wheels) vehicles were not released in the US until '97 which was the BD series Legacy. Late '96 (pretty much '97) was the first for the 2.5GT model.

A Soob nut I know that was a salesman for a dealer in the 90's told me that there were Gen 1 "GT's". They were trim only upgrades as they had the basic 2.2 engine.

He recently had a '94 in his shop that he was telling me about. We didn't talk about the year range??

Yes, the first year for the GT had the 2.2 engine & a body trim/wheels change from the standard L & LS models.
They had 1st Gen GT's overseas, but the SS was packaged as the GT class here in the states.

1st gen GT wagons had side skirts, unique alloys, and raised roofs.

That I was aware of, but to my knowledge the sedans didn't get classified as GT models until mid 90's.

Wasn't the 1st generation GT only available in '94, and only in wagon form? I want to say it also had body colored grill, and turbo bumper, but I'm not 100% sure on that

Okay...

The only 90-94 USDM-Spec Legacy GT was made in 1994

it was one of the "Specialty Wagons"

It had (from the original legacy brochure for 1994)

mesh alloy wheels
body colored mirrors and door handles
it says "front air dam" maybe a turbo bumper?? the pic is from the side and looks like it may be...
sideskirts
rear lip
raised (BF) roof
roof rails
stabilizer bar
CD Player
ABS

So was there one.... yes :smt009... was it what we think of as a GT.... no :smt045 ....

Thus me saying... Specialty Wagon.

It was one of four 94 only models...

Its kinda like the predecessor to the Outback.

It's really odd that Subaru went through the effort to make a wagon cool & different when that's usually the step-child model in the family.

Originally, wagons were their best sellers. Way back when they made cars worth buying, cars that were "inexpensive and built to stay that way".

Yeah, but the GT is a

"Legacy L AWD with Value Group 2 PLUS:"

So yeah, its not that special, just what makes it different from an L.
