Recently I have been getting a lot of squeal from the front drivers side brake (maybe the passenger side too). Here's the deal:
My setup:
-'02 WRX calipers
-Hawk HPS pads
-Brembo OEM rotors
-Properly installed/bedded in roughly 5,000-8,000 miles ago
What I have tried so far:
-Disassembled/cleaned the rotors/calipers
-Applied some anti-squeal paste on the back of the pads
-Lightly sanded the rotors
-Re-bedded the pads in (doing so exactly to Hawks specifications is very dangerous/hard as I live in a very urban area and cannot just go tearing around at 60 mph).
-Pads looks evenly worn
-Made sure everything was nice and tight
-Sanded off some rust on the contact point of the hub and the wheel for a more flush fit
I am going to try the following when the car cools:
-Removing the metal backing to the pads
-Apply more anti-squeal paste
-Re-greasing the guide pins (i have grease good up to 380 degrees-is this enough?)
-Re-bedding in the pads
Any other thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

do a couple of 80-0 stops?
i don't know if your pads a re new or not, but mine still make a little noise.
are your rotors warped?
do you have any built up rust on the rotors that might affect the alignment?

They're performance pads. They're going to squeal a bit.
I have HPS pads on my Legacy, and before very long, they were lightly squealing too.
Unless they're squealing to the point of being deafening or squealing when you're not on the brakes... basically, get used to it.
