problem w/EJ22T injectors

Post by s'ko »

I am finishing up my swap into the RX and I am trying to start it.

Here is what is happening.

The fuel pressure regulator is really loud. The car starts and then dies right away. I isolated the problem to the injectors 2 and 4. The engine runs ok with starter fluid being sprayed into the intake so I don't think it's a timing issue. I have yet to determine if the injectors are not responding to the signal or if the ECU is firing the injectors.

What are is the best way to test the injectors? Take two wires and use it to trigger the injector.

how do I test the signal from the ECU?

Thanks for the help.

I was eating dinner last night and I think that i might have some loose ground wires. Will go check those before I do anything drastic

ok so I checked the grounds and they are all reading 12v.

I decided to hook up the two black connectors and the CEL reads

11 Crank angle sensor
21 Water temp sensor
31 Throttle Sensor
35 Canister purge solenoid.

I checked the connectivity of the engine harness and it is good.

How do I check various sensors?

Thanks

Clear the codes, and then recheck the ECU.

For some reason that doesn't surprise me.

I wouldn't worry too much about all the codes. Often times a problem will throw a bunch of not directly related codes.
