Legacy Turbo coolant tanks. One new, one broken.
Legacy Turbo coolant tanks, BC/BF 1991 to 1994
It's the easiest solution to a broken tank-- an exact replacement. I have two stock plastic tanks for Legacy turbo cars. Sure they are plastic, but the first one on your car lasted over ten years, and you probably won't own your car ten years from now when it's time to replace the next one.
SOLD!!#1 NEW TANK - Pulled from a junkyard car. I found a 93 SS in a u-pull-it salvage yard. I noticed a Subaru OEM part box on the passenger seat with a broken coolant tank inside, and a receipt for a new one. The receipt (for $146.45) is dated March of 2008, I'm standing in the salvage yard in May of 2008 with a wrench in my hand reading the receipt. So I pulled the "new" tank from the engine. This tank could not have been on the car for more than a few weeks. Anyway, it's nearly brand new. I'll even include the original box and receipt.SOLD!!$80 shipped, or make an offer.SOLD!!
#2 USED / BROKEN - The broken tank from the same car. One large nipple broken off, otherwise in very good shape. Many guys have repaired these with JB Weld and a brass hose, so I thought some cheapskate might want this one. $15 shipped, or make an offer.
For your reference:
Subaru part number 21132AA010
List price from dealer parts department: $136.55 + local tax
Discount price online: $104.05 + $12.50 shipping

Junkyard car: 1993 5MT Sport Sedan, silver, 167k miles. RIP.

Are you making an offer? If not then move along, thanks. People are welcome to make offers if they feel that the price is out of line.SubaruNation wrote:might try lowering the price a bit, since you can get a metal one for like 40
It remains that the proper, original part is the fastest and easiest way to fix a broken coolant tank. Direct replacement, no rerouting of hoses, no fabricating of brackets, etc. Plug and play, back on the road.

This is not the white radiator overflow reservoir between the radiator and the driver side headlight.the_watts10 wrote:is this the resevoir for the turbo or the overflow tank because i just broke mine today and need one badly?
This is the black upper coolant fill tank, on the driver's side of the throttle body, with the pressure cap on it.
I'll put up a photo later. PM if you need it.
