Now that my wrx 06 intercooler is in place , I'm trying to figure how to move the clutch reservoir away from my i/c . This way I would have a better throttle body/intercooler alignement.
So I thought I could cut a inch or so from the the reservoir.
Anyone ever tried?
What troubles could that cause?
cutting down the clutch reservoir?

I did it at the suggestion of StiPro who had done it before me.
No problems at all, I cut it about an inch up from the bottom and it went back on without issue.

You could always source another reservoir from a Junkyard car.
Subaru made a few that are offset to the right, and lower.
I think mine was from a late 90's legacy.
That way I did not have to cut anything.
But I did have to replace it, so that was a little bit more effort.

Yeah,
I'd recommend trying to find the offset MC. Blackbart has sold them in the past.
Here's a pic.

I've finally cut the tank 1.5 inch from the bottom and it gave me the exact space I needed to align the throttle and the i/c.
Took me 2 minutes
Still my friend who works at the subaru stealer will look for me to see if he can get an offset one.

LOL- UM- Did you read my set-up?flatoutfred wrote:Thanks guys for the feedbacks, I think I'm gonna cut it like Dynamic Entry did cause I'm not convinced that an offset reservoir would clear the i/c.
I'll probably do that tonight.
It clears the IC.

Yeah, but I really had to install the intercooler properly since I butchered the stock throttle to turbo pipe . So I'll be waiting for the offset one.dscoobydoo wrote:LOL- UM- Did you read my set-up?flatoutfred wrote:Thanks guys for the feedbacks, I think I'm gonna cut it like Dynamic Entry did cause I'm not convinced that an offset reservoir would clear the i/c.
