50/50 BOV

Post by joeWM »

i have a 92 sport turbo, and i was going to mount and aftermarket BOV on it, but then i found out that the stock BOV is 50 atmospheric/50 recirculating, we tried just pulling the vacuum tube out of the intake, so it would blow off atmospheric.it worked but when parked it would slowly die, is there a way to install and aftermarket BOV, and route something to the vacuum so it is recirculated?

The factory "BOV" is 100% recirculating.

You can however convert the car to use an aftermarket unit that has an adjustable amount of blow of and recirc. While you are at it you can add an intercooler which also gives you a perfect spot to attach the BOV.

Cost varies significantly. I'd start by looking through the for sale forums on Nasioc if you don't mind used.

No matter the trouble an intercooler should be one of your first modifications.

There are a bunch of intercoolers that will work. You can start by searching on the forum for topics covering saab intercooler, forester fxt intercooler, and wrx intercooler. Those are all top mount. It doesnt sound like you're too interested in going front mount.
