Post by NuclearBacon »

Ok, mine looks fine... sure. But every 100 miles or so, it falls out. "why does it fall out?" you ask? "did someone BREAK off the plastic tab????"

Why, yes they did!!!!!! its the most fun to be cruising down I5 at 100 degrees, AC blowin, super comfy, 80+ mph, then WHAM WHAM WHAMWHAMWHAMWHAM against the fender....

.......grrr (not that im bitter) does anyone have one thats it decent shape... WITH a tab??

Shipped to 94506

Thanks!!!

When this happened to me and all I could find were ones with broken tabs, I figured it was time for a solution. When they come off at freeway speed it is no fun, especially if you were traveling fast enough for it to rip out and explode all over the road behind you. And if they stay on, they swing around and beat up your fenders till you can slow down and find a place to pull over. Who breaks these tabs, seriously?

What I found works great (for around 5 bucks) is aquarium sealant. If you run a smooth bead between the head light and the side marker, it prevents the air passing by from catching the corner light. Also, if done properly, the stuff is easily strong enough to hold it in place. It is removable, and depending on how well it is applied, barely visible.

Sounds ghetto to some I am sure. Check out my old Winestone SS in the Cars For Sale Album, both sides. Worked for me.
