Props to HKS!!! Pics and Video inside!

Bought a new in box HKS intake a couple weeks back, got bored this weekend, and decided to throw her on!

Da mad JDM tyte intake!

The intake actually made quite an awesome difference. Needs to be oiled this week. I can feel some more power in the upper revs, and the sound alone is well worth the mod! Sounds like a freaking semi truck now!

All in all, $50 well spent.

looks good, bet it sounds great! I'm gonna do something like this, but try and fit the filter into the wheel well.

Can you feel a loss in low-end power?

Also, what application was that for?

He's running a JDM/AUD setup, probably including the ECU, which I believe came with the JECS maf.

I believe it is meant for a 03 WRX.

I am currently running a JDM/AUD Plastic JECS MAF. It is all being run by the stock EJ22T Harness and ECU.

I have not noticed any difference in low end torque. Still rips the tires in 1st.

I know it is JECS so I'll have to dig out that MAF & check the sticker (I'm pretty sure it is green)...

I assume this MAF will not max out as quick as the metal Hitachi, did the car run better with this MAF??

I'll have to ground the blue wire from the MAF plug if/when I try this out - right...?....

The plastic MAF is also the same one used on any of the post-face NA cars

It won't max out as quickly, but you'll need some sort of engine managment if your still on the factory Ej22t ECU.

I just got done installing my HKS filter (same style). All I used was the filter and an MAF adapter and slapped it on...

HOLY HELL!! Devan isn't lying when he says it sounds like a semi-truck. You can hear the turbo whining ALL the time. And the recirc valve sounds sooo loud when it opens!!

This really makes me wonder what the car sounds like without it... my car already had one installed.

it's a really big difference, I skipped a coffe cup and went straight to the Apexi short intake and yes you can constantly hear the turbo (VF11) and the recirc can be heard above the stereo

but my car is pretty unhappy under 2000 rpm

It's unhappy because of the Apexi intake?
