is there a how-to anywhere on the forums about how to go about removing the front fender off an SS? im sure i could figure it out myself but im a novice at all this and dont wannt break something icant fix ya kno?

use gloves and be careful with screwdrivers.. etc around it b/c they will scratch the paint no problem.

there are im guessing like 8+ screws you have to remove and they get into some tricky places.

just take the ones in plain view off first and from there find the ones you still need to.

There are ten 10mm bolts holding them on. You need to remove the bumper cover to get at the front two. The ones inside the door can be removed without removing the door.


If you live in the rust belt, you will most likely snap a couple off. Between both front fenders, I had to drill out and re-tap 14 of them.

My car wasn't a rust belt car (no rust except for some patina around paint chips on the hatch and rear quarters). And I snapped off all but 2 screws getting my fender off :evil:

A 1/4-20 tap is the perfect size to drill it out and re-tap.
