Do i have the Exhaust for you!!!!!! So you've probably all seen my post about the Greddy EVO2 Exhaust ive had. This exhaust was "designed" for a 2000 2.5 RS impreza (NA) and i recieved it from my friend who thought it would be stupid on his car.....

So it sat and sat in my garage... until yesterday. My GREAT friends at Minute Muffler in Dublin, Ca (look these guys up, they're AWESOME) completly remodded the muffler and made me a custom mandrel bent 3" pipe to my cat, with relocated exhaust hangers, AND made it so i could unbolt it and put my stock exhaust back on.... for $50

When i started it in the shop... it sounded like a $30,000 STi... but BETTER. My little TW with 210,000 miles, now sounds like a throaty Mean STi. So! what about my standard 177 mile trip to Chico and back that i made about 1000 time a year (it feels like). What about the noise? the resonation? the loudness inside the car? Will i have headaches? what about all that?

Its exactly what i wanted. its quiet, and basically non-existant cruising at 70 or 75... or 85 hehe... but if you get on it... you can hear the low rumble just enough to go ...yeeeeeeaahhhh. and off the line, GOD it sounds awesome!!!!!!

SO! The Greddy EVO2 Exhaust gets my THUMBS UP and them some, and if you're looking for an exhaust that makes your car sound LIKE IT SHOULD FROM THE FACTORY, and you only want to be heard when YOU want to be heard, pick up an EVO2.

You'll be glad you did :)

yazmo, it looks like it will work with some modification to the hangers. The muffler hangers are pointed to the back instead of to the side. You can use a small acetylene torch (home depot) to heat and rotate them. The mid-pipe hanger will be in the wrong spot by a few inches but an extra long rubber hanger will fix that. You will need to cut the stock mid pipe behind the cat and install a 3” ID X 2-1/2” OD reducer. ROL Exhaust and other companies make those and you can the clamp in place. If you do that, you will have to cut off the two-bolt flange on the new pipe. Or for $60 you can use this adapter but you will have to weld it to the stock pipe.

Here's a pic of stock muffler hangers next to an after market exhaust with similar hangers. I had to torch the right hanger and bend it down by about 30 degrees.

I took my catback to an exhaust shop, and they made me a custom mandrel bent 3 pipe shaped just like the stock legacy exhaust in the pic above. that way it just unbolts and the stock muffler can go right back. this cost me $60 to have them fab up everything. mindless and painless :)

you can bolt up most WRX downpipes and with little modification get the mufflers to fit, but you will need a 3" extension. search around, and you'll see some great pics by board members of their stock systems laid out next to an aftermarket WRX system, and you'll see where the extensions need to be made..
