I am back to selling it again, this time I have to get it out of here:) like the title says 1991 Subaru Legacy Turbo, Manual. Everybody knows these are rare and beautiful cars. She has 240,000 on her. Still runs just not well, leaks oil from random spots. Was going to swap some stuff into her but moved and never got around to it, now I need to sell her so she does not just sit here any longer. As you can tell from the pics the body is good condition, there are a couple dents and a couple small rust spots, nothing big though. As far as I can tell there are no rust spots on the chassis, I have taken the carpet up in random spots and still nothing. Right now I have the moulding up on the drivers side, I had a system in it but took it out. I can put the pieces back on no problem if the buyer wants. I am the second owner so I can probably answer any question you have about her. The Turbo on her is out of a Japanese WRX, I think it was an 01, if you want to know exactly just let me know and I can find out.
Asking price is 1200 obo, I would not care to ship as long as you set up everything:)
E-mail me at menarf@gmail.com or PM me and we can set up a time for you to look at her.
I drove her for a while at about 17 psi and had fuel problems when I floored it, so I never pushed it past 3/4 cause it would just cut out. I put it back down to the stock 11psi or maybe it was 7, either way she ran fine after that. But she was already leaking oil by that point cause of the psi and having 240,000 on her. So I stopped driving her as much and would start her up every couple of weeks and have done that ever since. She still starts up every time and runs fine, does not smoke, but she does leak oil excessively. Do not know from where though. I just do not want to hurt the motor so it can be rebuilt so I keep oil in her when I do take her out.
I replaced the turbo when I got her and it is from an 01 J-spec WRX so it will push some psi if you want it to. The BOV is a Bosch that I bought also when installing the turbo. I have a new Timing Belt that is not installed yet, I also have all the extra parts that I took off of her in the first place, the shrouding around the turbo, and intake parts. She has to be trailered home unless you live close, I will not let someone drive her away and hurt the engine:)
I have videos of when I was pushing 17psi if anybody wants one up. I also have lots other pics that I will put up later.
Thanks:)
wow i am almost interested just dont have the money or time but if you sell it here it will go somewhere, where it could be taken cared of. good luck, if you give it away though i got dibs

This year did not have intercoolers. From the Turbo outlet it just went into this plastic thing that went into the intake. If you can imagine that:) Plastic thing broke so it has a metal thing on it with ghetto rigged hoses. Not exactly efficient but still functions:)
I'll bet it would run better if you recirculated the "blow off valve" the way it should be. if you wanted to hear it go "psshhh-ooo" just buy a cone to replace the airbox.
Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad judgment.

Here we go:) I found a rust spot on the right rear door at the bottom, and you can see the other spots pretty easily in the pics.
I also forgot to mention that there is no radio, and basically no speakers. The car also comes with the original service books, there are 6 in all if I remember correctly. in place of the radio is radio wires:) All labeled where they go, and of course the service books tell you.
Pretty clean, esp. for the mileage! Your leak(s) are most likely the crank and cam oil seals, they tend to go at about 180K, it will not harm the motor to drive it... just keep an eye on the oil level.
Aerotech wrote:Nah, not that much... it's almost a flat rate for cars; coast to coast is like $900, maybe a little more if you go for an enclosed transport.
Works out to be cheaper than driving the car, if you factor in hotels and food for the trip.
Hotels and food? You mean red bull, mountain dew and caffine pills? I once drove from Jacksonville NC to SanDiego CA in 40hrs.
I wish you were closer, though. The trans. cost makes it not so worth it for me.

F*ck that noise, man...I don't try that anymore, not after I woke up on the shoulder of the highway doing 70 mph and there was a parked car about 20 yards ahead of me. Close call doesn't even begin to describe it... Took me half an hour just to get my hands to stop shaking.
Ain't worth it.
