Honestly, if you swapped the tails for the newer style I't be one of the hottest subies I've ever seen. I just can't grow to love those 1st gen tails for some reason.

U are retarded. The tail lights from a 92-94 1 are ugly as sin and 2 won't fit on the 90-91. Completely different rear 1/4s and all that stuff

What did you do to make the R180 work? Did you use STi rear axles and hibs along with the brakes?

Sorry to highjack your thread.....

Was the companion flange different? (what your driveshaft bolts to)

I need an R180, and I plan on making hyrid axles at the outer CV joints so I don't have to use the knuckles and brakes. I do have a friend who re-drilled SVX backing plates and rotors to use smaller brakes on his RS, but I'd rather not go that route.

haha, its fine.

the flanges were different but you can take the old flange off of your r160 and transfer it onto the r180.

you used to be able to buy the hybrid axles from driveshaftshop.com but they stopped making them for a while for some reason. that was going to be the way i was going to go but i got the hubs/axles/brakes/rotors/pads for about $300 more than just the rear axles cost from driveshaftshop link

$600!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw that. I can make my own hybrid axles. I see R180's go for under $400 shipped. Axles aren't that hard to find either.

Jake, the car looked terrific at the show. Never seen your engine bay looking so clean and put together...sweet!!!

Guys, you missed a midget doing keg stands at this show! It was awesome.

But also thanks to nice guys like Jake some of us come back from the show a little more knowledgeable.

Cheers to you!

I personally think this is the best looking car on the board.

The 4th picture does it for me.

And to think, that used to be a STANDARD!
