Now that were on the topic of transmissions I've got a question. What
does everyone use for transmission fluid? Synthetic, normal etc.. I
need to do a tranny fluid change and I'm not sure what fluid to use.
Also what do people use for differential fluid?

At a minimum I would add Lubeguard to your (autotransmission). I'm using Amsoil Series 2000 gear oil (you can order it from amsoil.com) in my 93 Legacy's autotrans differential and rear end. I will in time change the autotrans fluid to their synthethic, it lowers the temperature significantly and in the year I have this is important.
If you have a manual, not sure what it takes but any Amsoil oil or gear lube will be more than sufficient.
Now, if you have an auto, just changing the fluid won't actually change all the fluid. There are some places that do fluid excanges and this gets it all, but can be expensive (relative to the cost of a new transmission though it's quite cheap).
