Ok, then the main cruise relay is activating. I would check the inputs going to the cruise computer and verify they're functioning properly. The cruise clutch switch needs to be working. Umm....I'm trying to think what other permissives there are.
It's too bad you don't have a select monitor, you can monitor the cruise computer and see what's going on.
Cruise control not working...

I'm still stumped here, i've looked at everything that is visually possible to inspect and can't see anything wrong. And those electrical diagrams are just a tad confusiing. Don't think i'll fix this in time before this weekend, if any of you have any luck fixing yours, please let me know how you did it!

Unfortunately, the wiring diagrams is what you're going to probably need to turn to to check things out.
You need to check the cruise clutch switch & the brake switch to make sure they are working properly, and telling the cruise comptuer it's ok to turn on.
Other thing you can try testing is hook up a vacuum line & gauge to the vacuum pump that goes to the cruise actuator. Run a vacuum line & gauge inside the car and see if you're getting vacuum. Maybe the actuator isn't work. However, since you're not getting a click, I kind of think the problem is electrical in nature.
