A friend of mine is willing to sell me his Rota SDR's (17x7.5" +48mm offset) for cheap. I've been considering upgrading my stock 15"s to something better and these seem like a good opportunity.
I've already looked over the numerous threads of "will XXX fit my car". Can't really come to a clear conclusion since a lot running 17"s say its going rub (especially in the rear), while others say no rubbing. My current suspension is stock springs and KYB GR2's, thus I'm not really lowered much. I'm not too fond of having to roll the fenders and rather just have it fit or go with 16"s instead.
Tirerack recommends 205/45/17, while I see others running 225/45/17. Does anyone have a definitive answer if these tires and what wheels will work without [much] hassle?
Great deal on Rota SDR, upgrade to 17"?

The +48s in a 7.5 are way out there, even on my BE. I have a set of these, in Hyper Black, and I love them.
Might be a very tight fit on a BJ.
