90 Subaru Legacy AWD Auto Wagon $1,000 SOLD!!!

Post by kimokalihi »

Selling my car to buy a turbo legacy. $1,000 takes it! SOLD

Located in Tenino, WA. Just 15 minutes south of Olympia.

I'm selling my snowboarding car that I've owned for almost 3 years. It's a great car and I will miss it but I want a turbo subaru so this one has to go. I've taken good care of it. I use Amsoil Full Synthetic oil and Amsoil oil filters in it.

The only problem with the car is the starter is only working half the time. I just went out there a few minutes ago to take the pictures and move the car and it started right up. But last night I took the car to my girlfriends and when I got in to leave it was just clicking and not turning over at all. I've ordered some new contacts and they'll be here in a few days and I'll see if that fixes the problem. There's good voltage at all the power wires and the ground is good. My price will be $1200 if I replace the contacts and it fixes the problem. That's about what it will cost to replace the starter if you do the work yourself.

The car has 293,000 miles on it which sounds like a lot and for most cars it would be. But it's a subaru and some people take them to 500,000 or more. I saw one with 750,000 before. The tranny has 160,000 miles on it and shifts great. I replaced the transmission right after I bought it when the old one died. It's out of a 94 legacy and I had to change the rear differential because the gearing was different so that's out of the same 94 and also has 160,000 miles on it. The engine is unknown. The guy I bought it from said the engine was replaced before. The timing belt was done 20,000 miles ago so it should be good to go for another 40,000 miles.

The paint has scratches and there's a few little rust spots like on the hatch as shown in the pictures. The interior is OK. I say that because it has a wierd smell. I think someone spilled motor oil on the carpet in the back and on the floor and it needs a steam cleaning. I was just going to go to the junkyard and replace the whole carpet but I've been waiting for them to get a wagon with the right color carpet that's in good shape.

The AC does not work but the compressor engages. I think it just needs to be recharged. Living in washington and only driving the car during the winter, I never bothered.

It's got a set of studded snow tires on it with almost all the tread left on them. I put those on last winter and only drove the car maybe 10 times since then. The car also comes with a set of all season tires with half tread I'd say. The fronts I noticed were a little more worn on the edges. I assume they were from the front because of the wear.

Last fall I installed brand new Brembo OEM rotors and brand new pads on all four wheels. These brakes probably have 3K miles on them.

Please read everything so you don't call me asking me questions I've already answered here. If you have any other questions my name is kimo and you can call me at 360-561-3494 or email me. I work nights so please don't call me before 2pm! I leave for work at 7pm and do not get service at my work so you're much better off emailing me as I check my email very frequently. Several times a day.

The last few days I've gotten in my car a couple times a day and it's started right up. I think maybe the contacts that I put in finally seated evenly and it should be fine now. But the car will still come with a brand new set as soon as it comes in the mail.

I just lowered the price to $1,000. Please don't call or email me and lowball me. Somebody offered me $500 for my car when I had it up for $1,100. If you seriously think somebody is going to sell you a car for less than half of what they were asking for, I don't want to talk to you. So please don't waste my time.
