A/C???

so i just got back for jack in the box and while i was in the drive through the a/c freaked out. For the past couple days the fan has been making a squealing noise when on. While i was in line i noticed the noise stopped so i put it on high (4) and it doesnt work. it will blow normal all the way through 3 then stop and not blow on 4. So i turned the a/c and the car almost died? kept it running and now seems to be ok, but the 4 speed on the vent fan wont work? blower motor? any help will be appreciated.

Well, if it works on the lower speeds, it's not the blower motor itself... You'll have to pull out the HVAC control and check the switch. Might be dirty inside or a bad connection. I had the same condition, but in reverse; no low speed, but worked on 3 & 4. Re-seating the connectors a few times fixed it.

Squealing noises sounds like the belt is old/bad and/or the tensioner is too loose.
