Looking for an old Legacy in South PA area

Post by brandomosh »

I'm looking for a Legacy, front or 4WD, sedan or wagon, as long as a manual that runs. Thats pretty much it. Any idea on where to look? Thanks!

Craigslist.... there's a lot of South PA, what city are you nearest to?

Philly: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/822209341.html

Pitt: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/810975027.html

We'll help you out, but give specifics...

Good luck with the search.

I've never thought of looking there. Duh!

I live in Mercersburg, PA, which is actually in south central PA. Three hours to the left is Pittsburgh, and three hours to the right is Philly. I'm also only about ten miles north of the MD border. I don't mind driving a little ways if I find something good. I'd prefer a manual because of the MPG and fun (ha) Body style and 2/4wd doesn't matter. Last but not least, I'd rather not have too many miles on the thing cause I'd be driving it some good distances (I'm planning on a trip to New Orleans and back to get my things, I relocated to PA in December of 07) so I guess nothing over 175,000? As long as it's in solid mechanical condition! I work on cars myself, although I'm still learning to do major stuff, so minor things here and there aren't that much of an issue.

I live in a hotel/restaurant that my uncle runs and I'm currently using his car on occasion, which he needs. So I need something pretty soon. I really can't spend too much money right now either, just because of bills, etc. so $1500 would probably be my limit. I guess that kind of money would get you something with high miles though. But maybe I'll get lucky. Who knows. Thanks for the help and listings! I'm gonna contact these guys tomorrow!
