EBC Redstuff Pads
I have been using the EBC red pads and noticed they leave a ring of unused rotor around the outer edge of the rotor. I've seen other people with the same issue. Anyone know if EBC has fixed this recently or if their yellow pads are different?

No idea. They worked so I didn't care. The cryo rotors and the pads lasted about 4 years. Pads fell out when the wheel was removed and the rotor was worn nearly down through to the vents. Didn't even pulse too bad at all. That's a testament to cryo-treating, though, not the pads. Replaced them with Hawk HPS when I went to WRX brakes and parked the car about a year later.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
I'm a faithful follower of EBC's yellow stuff. I've been very pleased with them on the Auto-X and backroad twisties. I also use them on my OBW that gets loaded down and I've never had fade problems coming off tall passes.
They do dust though but they seem to last fine for me.
As far as the ring - I've never seen a used set of rotors that didn't have a small 1/16" lip on them.

EBC has stepped up their game. The older stuff wasn't great. The new stuff has been good. I've got the red stuff on my impreza. I don't recall if it leaves a ring of unused, but it's normal. My legacy was like that.

I think they made the pad for the non-turbo legacy rotor. 260mm instead of 276mm.
This would leave 16mm of extra rotor, or 8mm all the way around, which is about what I'm seeing on my rotors.
