Norcal: (SOLD!!) 2002 WRX front calipers $100

Post by strawman »

UPDATE: I need the space in my garage-- I've lowered the price to $100 not including shipping. Someone please take these!

I'm selling a pair of WRX calipers that were on a turbo wagon I bought for parts. You'll need 16" wheels to clear them, but they're a great upgrade. I've lowered the price to $75 not including shipping. Located in Davis, CA 95618. Email me at gdstraw(at)ucdavis(dot)edu

I have confirmed that these are 2002 WRX brakes that use the D721 brake pads. You can get a write-up of various WRX brakes at the following link:

WRX brakes

Post by wtdash »

How many miles?

So these will mount up 'as is' to a Legacy SS? How 'bout a '90 NA Legacy? I wonder if they both use the same caliper mounting bracket?

Thanks

I just measured the rotors, and their 0.905". The minimum thickness is 22mm (or 0.866"), so they're still usable. Throw me an offer!

Nope, it is a bolt on onto your hubs/struts. You will need 16" rims to clear the calipers, although I've read that SOME 15" rims might clear them. You'd be best off to use 16" rims to be sure.

Lotsa "tire kickers," but no one has followed through yet. Make a reasonable offer. I'd take $200 for the calipers (no rotors) shipped to anywhere in the Continental U.S. Any takers?

Just lowered the price... $200/shipped in the continental US for the calipers (if you want the rotors, we'll have to negotiate). Help me clean out my garage by making a reasonable offer!

What year WRX are they from. It will make a difference. '02 had left overs from the 2.5RS/ LGT. '03-'05 were the new design using different brake pads.

I don't honestly know, as they came with a parts car. Sale is pending, tho, to a local guy. I'll take back-up offers...

Bump, with updated info -- they're from a 2002 WRX using D721 brake pads. Includes rotors (kinda rusty), calipers, brake pads with plenty of life, and brackets to bolt right into your Legacy. Great update!
