The new ride.

Post by shtbxr22 »

it hurts really bad, but I am buying this: http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/824268568.html

I couldn't find any good subies in my neck of the woods. :( The only way i'm coming back is if I get something better than my wags. why come back with less than I had before? So I suppose I will use this for commuter duty, and keep you guys posted. Mentally, this almost feels like becoming a homosexual. yuck! "cute car"

Oof. At least it's not a 1.8T - I don't think I ever heard of any major VR6 issues, though I might just not have heard. Electrical's still suspect. As far as being a girly car - the female lead in my first book drives a green Jetta VR6. But hey, she does kick some ass. Doesn't look that bad, though.

Yeah, from what I've seen with my VW buddies, the VR6 is a pretty sturdy motor. That's probably the only engine I'd want in a water-cooled VW.

I raced my dad in his Boxter when I had my VR6 and beat it!

Awsome motor, and nice car too. Congrats!

Watch out for timing chain guides. If they are making noise they can fall apart or something equally shitty.

too late guys. the guy came yesterday from NC, and picked up the wags. It was a stressful time trying to get all the money together to get the "dub". <---long story. all is well now, and I have decent wheels. no more roadmaster wagon, and it sounds pretty cool. not as good as an uncorked boxer, but just as equally unique. i'll put up a pic ortwo soon.

Lumbar adjusters?

Sorry you have to drive a VW. Espesially a bright girly red one. At least its powered by a VR6. Pretty neat motor IMO, and makes some sex noises @ WOT, too.

Stain's probably just food or something. I have a similar stain on my Mazda that I got from dropping a piece of a DD's muffin.

my buddy had a 4dr '92 sentra with a 1.6ga in it.. motor swap total cost $1,452 for an sr20det with a stock bb t25 on 10lbs.. he'd leave it in fifth gear with half throttle we'd be walking away from modded evo's and STi's on the highway.. i'll prolly be building one this winter for my summer fun car :-D

Yeah, if I do anything to this car it will be to get rid of the ricer muffler. it's so f-ing loud. the drone is horrible.
