My friend Andrea is having her 22T swapped '98 Impreza repainted. She asked if I could make her husband's RB style wing from his '02 WRX fit on her car. Of course I said yes, and here's my progress so far (removed 3" to make it work):
I removed 3" from the middle to make it the correct size. Next up is expandable foam setting up over night. In the morning, I will be inserting four 1/4" threaded rods into the foam with 2 part epoxy to hold them all very still. Then I'll sand down the center to lay out 3 layers of fiberglass matting. Once that is all set, sand smooth and pass over to be repainted.

Yep, and she calls me "sweetheart" & I'm the "other man" in her life. We've all been friends for many years & joke around quite a bit, although she is cute... (...and I'll have been married for 12 yrs in November too)
UPDATE:
Wing is back together thanks to many ounces of resin being poured into the center of the wing to mate up with the styrofoam & the threaded rods. Yes, I ended up using styrofoam because I purchased a bum can of spray foam. I think the density of the styrofoam was actually better in the long run.
Now it's just filling in cracks & chips with resin & duraglass (body filler w/ fiberglass strands mixed in). Sand smooth and give it back to be painted. Pics to come very shortly.
If she's hot, you should get a pic of her standing by her car with the new wing!

My apologies guys! I've been super busy with both work & vehicle repair lately (wife's '98 LGT, my new '92 LSS, my '85 Chevy C-10, and my '80 Kawi 750)!!!
I know I should not ask a stupid question, but why did she not just but one of the RB5 wings for an Impreza? I know where they can be had for a good price?
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one
