Um, a WHAT? Wow, I really need to come up with some kind of snake oil of my own and exploit the result of our garbage public educational system.

I almost wanna pick one up, open it up and see what all they put in there, just for shits and giggles.

Hehe yeah. I love how they go through all the cool things it does for you and then say that it does not have installation instructions. Just slap the baby in there somewhere and it'll work :).

i wish i had taken pictures when i bought that. if you look at my pics of my engine bay you will see it. it never really did anything that i could tell except run my battery down because of the damn blinking light. however i probably have faulty wiring somewhere. yea i got curious about those too and since the real ones are about 150 to 200 i thought i would just got with the c-west one since it is so cheap and if it sucks i did not spend a lot of money. i ended up taking the guts out and putting all my relays for my lights in there to clean up the engine bay. but yea i would say it is a waste of money. i think i wired my up to the positive and negative, but i dont remember and since the damn thing doesnt say how i should have known then that it would be gay.

It's my understanding that they just shove a bunch of capacitors inside there so that if an accessory puts a huge draw on the line for a small amount of time, this helps keep the juice up and "cleans" the power.

I highly doubt it's very efficient though.

A large car stereo style capacitor will stabilize your voltage just fine and they are very cheap and easy to find.
