Yeah, there are some dum dums out there.
Little does he know that he has probably passed the yield point on the bolts, and they have been work-hardened.

^ This!
It is kinda mean to flame someone bad for being ignorant, but at the same time, I don't feel bad for people who dive into stuff without doing any homework what so ever.
My friend Derek, who rebuilds trannys for a living had someone tow their own AWD Highlander (or something) in with a two wheel dolly. The customer isn't going to be very happy with the phone call they get tomorrow morning, and he tells them their tranny is even more borked since he towed it in with two wheels on the ground.
I don't feel bad for him at all because it clearly states in the owners manual that the vehicle must be towed on a flatbed or with all four wheels on the ground.

Interesting. I've always been under the idea that once the headgaskets have been crushed, they are pretty much junk if you loosen the head again.

No money, but he's doing a turbo swap. Another potential NASA employee. He'll be back with blown headgaskets soon.

I KNOW... sheesh! That's like letting a hooker deliver your baby... cause she's had so many of em, she "knows what she's doing."
it's shat.. er "shade-tree mechanics" like that, who destroy the poor unknowing bastard's enthusiasm in cars... I mean, if the blind guy leads blind guy #2 off a friends cliff... I blame the "friend"... though I dont excuse the cars owner... his greed/cheapness just killed his car...
