Clutch and flywheel problems

Post by DollyKean »

Hello,

When changing a dead clutch, bought the car like this, flywheel is dead too.

So I have to change everything but thing is oem parts are in 225mm not easy to find on performance parts so the question is :

Is that possible to swap everything for impreza parts in 230mm like lightened flywheel??

will it be ok?? not too harsh for my standard mecanich??

Thanks

As long as the flywheel & clutch combo match the current type (push or pull style clutch) you should be able to use the impreza parts.

Easy way to tell what type of clutch you have is the type of motor. To my knowledge all the older style non-turbo motors used a push style clutch, and the turbo motors used a pull style clutch.

Yes it's a pull, it's a turbo ej20... a mate ordered the ej22 model which is push type///

So I could fit the EJ20T item from impreza since it's the same scheme?

Thanks

Yes if your setup is a pull clutch setup, you should be able to use the EJ20T clutch, flywheel, etc from the impreza.
