so i decided to go out and take off my grille real fast. im going to cut everything out except the emblem. anyone know where to get some mesh to stick behind it?

Got mine from McMaster.com. Hex-cut alloy with variable hole sizes to choose from, but there might be a cheaper place to get smaller amounts of it. You could always use gutter guard (black plastic or alloy), but it looks like what it is (at least in the alloy as it's perforated and stretched metal, rather than a sheet with holes cut in it). I used the plastic stuff to fill the space behind the teeth in the "mouth" I cut out of the grille on my '84 GL.
