201,000 and BEYOOONNNDDDD!!!

Post by LegacyPunk »

So I just sort of realized my car has over 201,000 miles on it, still running strong but I was just wondering if there was anything major that I might need to look into, anything that might be a good idea to get checked or replaced (besides the usual)?

In bike news, It warmed up a bit not too long ago and I rushed home from work to get a ride in and I started to back my bike out but it felt heavier than usual. Checked the tire, annnd there was a nice shiny hex/square head nail or screw in my rear tire. Now I'm waiting for my new tire, as it seems to be the safest option from what I gather. Long story short, nails on the road=expensive, $292 for the tire I ordered, could of got a better price elsewhere but everywhere else it seemed to be backordered till late november.

Hope all is well with everybody and I gotta get back to work. :D

Keep ontop of fluids(diffs, tranny, engine) and timing belts. If you notice any other problems get them looked after.

my dad is really into road biking and he's feelin the pinch of pinch-flats.
A decent quality bike tire is really goin up! To the point where they cost just as much as a car tire

I should hit 201K today, still fighting the rough idle and normal tired 4EAT shift issues, but gettinig 22 mpg back & forth to work, so not gonna bitch about it.

I just put a tire on my bike last month, $98, and had a friend with a Harley shop help me swap it over. 130/90-16 on a CX500 Honda.
