KYB GR2 New In Box!

Post by kimokalihi »

SOLD!

I have 4 KYB GR2 struts that have never been used. I've had them for a month or so but later found out the rear struts are too long for STI springs so I just bought a full STI suspension and I don't need these anymore. I did install the passenger side front strut before I realized the rears were too long but I never even put the wheel back on.

I'm not sure which years these fit because the KYB site is under construction right now. I guess they're making a new site. I bought these for my 91 SS and I think they fit 90-91 but I'm not sure. Maybe they fit 90-94? I know they at least fit a 91 though so if you have a 91 with AWD, no worries.

Comes in the original boxes along with directions and a nut to go on each strut.

I paid $292 shipped for these and I'm asking $250 shipped. I'll probably end up losing around $75 on these but oh well.

I'm in no hurry. But if someone else comes along with the money I'm selling them to the first person who shows me cash.

I've been on ebay for years and have 100% feedback rating. Ebay name is *louie.

Those struts are for a 93 though. I checked the 91 and it's much higher.

So actually that place is $91 more expensive then ebay. $133 more than from me.

I think it's a fair price.

I have no idea why they're different part numbers. I'm sure someone here knows though.

To my knowledge, '90-'91 rears used different top hats due to spring diameter, so that could be the reason. Fronts stayed the same. This then would likely be a mixed kit. Same fronts, different rears...

I know the rears tophats are different. I think they're 2 piece for 92-94 and 1 piece for 90-91 and also 90-91 are tapered springs in the rear and 92-94 are not tapered in the rear. But why would this make the struts different? Does the strut shaft have to be longer or shorter for the two different top hats?

Something else must be different because they have different part numbers for the fronts too.

Buy my struts!!!

The spring perches are mounted at different heights on the strut body.

When Subaru based the new Impreza on the (now 3 year old) Legacy, they incorperated a few new (minor) changes from the Impreza back in to the '92+ Legacies.

Good price.
