Too much boost, where is the restrictor pill?

That spinning thing that makes all of the cool noises. OE and Aftermarket.

Too much boost, where is the restrictor pill?

Post by Impreza2.2T »

so i have a 2.2T with a stock vf-11 and I just got a Boost T and boost gauge. Electronic gauge, and the T is an adjustable knob. I got it installed and I have vac/Boost working fine, I have the T hooked up right before the actuator. But I have it turned all the way down and I am pushing past 15 PSI :( No intercooler yet, so I dont wanna get crazy. Anyone have any suggestions for me, cus i only want to push like 12.5 PSI and NO MORE. Last night, I got this VF-11 to spool past 20 PSI.

some one please. Currently I have the hose from the bottom of the boost solenoid disconnected. the waste gate hose is hooked to the boost T.

Are you sure that the hoses aren't switched? As in the waste gate hose is connected to the pressure source and vice versa.

+1, when I installed my mbc I mixed up the hose and I had too much boost.

12.5 psi is too much with no intercooler...

I recommend you put everything back to stock and then take it one step at a time

Oh wow I didn't even see that he was trying to run that much boost with no intercooler.

+1 on what Nick said.

I wouldn't recommend running anything over 10 PSI without an intercooler and nothing over ~13 PSI with an intercooler and stock injectors.

Doing that tommorw. No injectors, runnning the 375 cc and stock fuel pump. Yea definately getting it intercooled. How much boost can this motor handle? No the Boost Tee is not in the wrong way. I read the instructions.

You can go to 10 PSI w/o an intercooler.
