i need a transmission for my legacy. i own a 1992 legacy wagon with
a basic stock engine, it is all wheel drive, it is a non turbo, and
has an automatic transmission. i have located a trans, but am not
certain that it will fit, because it is a 1993 trans, from a turbo
legacy wagon, which has all wheel drive, and is an auto trans. now
my question : will a '93 turbo transmission fit in a '92 non turbo
vehicle ? is the final drive ratio the same ? will there be
additional labor or part changeover required ?
or, if i could find a transmission that was certain to be a
proper fit, then i would be interested in that, instead.

The only potential problem will be the gear ratios.
Everything else will just bolt up.

the final drive ratio is the same. the problem that i have, is that the electronic control module is different. will there be a lot of additional parts and labor to switch the e.c.m. ? will this transfer be worth it, or is it just going to be a big headache ?
