If you need one in a pinch AZ offers one that appears OEM for <$50 depending on region. I paid $34.99 for mine.

Yeah if you guys know where to buy OEM ones cheaper than the dealer let me know. Dealer wants $58 plus tax and $13 shipping. So it's like $77 shipped. I don' t have a lot of money right now but noticed mine is cracked on the engine I'm working on.

has anyone installed the knock sensor without taking off the intake manifold?
Ive been delaying replacing mine due to not having the time to tear it apart.

I did on a 90 EJ22 N/A but I don't know if it's different on a turbo motor. It was super easy on the NA motor.

'90 - 95 (yes, 95) are all the same. I just put an n/a '95 on my '93 EJ22T and it was plug and play and no more CEL.

I had access to 4 (used) and all but the '95 were cracked.

Yeah no intake removal needed on a N/A at least. My biggest pita was I added a ground wire so I had to fish the wire down there..
