t3/t4 AR .60 ball bearing turbocharger

Post by worunner »

Some guy in my town is selling a t3/t4 AR .60 ball bearing turbocharger (brand new) for 900. is it a good deal, and will it fit directly, or what extent of modification do i need to do?

well, to start, the flanges on the uppipe won't match the turbo. Then the intake on the t3/t4 is straight vs the 90 degree on the stock turbo. There's a chance the t3/t4 you're looking at is only oil cooled instead of oil and water. So you'd need a new intake system, rotated mount uppipe and downpipe for the t3/t4.

^ And that's just the pipe set. What about fuel, and controlling said fuel? This is granted you leave timing out of the equation. Then intercooling. How about a clutch? If an auto, reprogramming kit? You better have a wideband at the get go.
